Many customers leverage Stringr to cover their busy sports seasons - such as high school football - when there can be multiple games in different locations all on the same night!
Here are some tips to make sure your sporting event coverage video requests are successful!
1. Schedule in advance: Put the request in as soon as you know you'll need coverage - the sooner it is in, the sooner we can make sure you are all set with the right videographer, and everything is in place before the game.
2. Create a pro request: All requests for sports need to be a pro request. Only with pro requests do freelancers and content producers get contact information to speak directly to each other.
3. Logistics: You will have to organize with the school/ athletic director that a freelancer is coming, provide the freelancer's name and ensure they include access for the videographer for parking, admission fees and access to the field if that is one of the shots you require. Since we will be recording students, the school must be made aware and provide permissions.
4. Provide specifics: The more communication the better. We ask that you put everything you are looking for into the details section of the request. Include where you want the videographer to be (the press box, on the field, etc.) Include the shots you would like, what time the videographer should get there, and any details you have about parking, admission, etc. For ideas of types of shots, see below for what our customers usually ask for. But remember, we are not shooting the entire highlight reel - we are providing raw video so you can put your highlight show together.
5. Communications: We recommend that you call your videographer right before the game to give them another recap of exactly what you are looking for. Again, we will provide contact information when we assign your request.
